The Roman Catholic Church, from its establishment, has proclaimed to be the one true holy apostolic church founded by Jesus Christ. This video will examine this self-serving claim and expose it as false.
This sketch-drawing image of the “one holy Catholic apostolic” church is idolatrous. Its not-so-subtle message is to worship the Catholic Church in place of God. Much of what the Catholic Church does is to usurp glory away from the Messiah (Christ) to bestow glory upon itself. The Catholic Church claims to be the one true holy apostolic church founded by Jesus Christ. The claim itself is an assumptive one, in that it assumes that Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) founded one true holy apostolic denominational church. He didn’t.
IS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH ‘ONE?’
Answer: No.
There are numerous divisions within Catholicism known as schisms and rites, each one with its own set of differing doctrines. The Roman Catholic Church is not united as one denomination in body or in truth.
IS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH ‘HOLY?’
Answer: No.
Throughout its history and to this day, the Roman Catholic Church has not been true to the Scriptures and claims apostolic authority over the Scriptures. The Catholic Church has claimed that salvation comes through its denominational church. To say that the Catholic Church is the only way of salvation is to usurp glory away from Yeshua (Jesus).
The Catholic Church says, “Extra ecclesiam nula salus [No salvation outside the Church].”
Yeshua (Jesus) said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
– John 14:6 (NKJV).
Yeshua (Jesus) is the way, the truth, and the life. Neither the Roman Catholic Church nor any other denominational church can claim to be the only way of salvation. Scripture does not declare any denominational church ‘holy.’ Churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, are institutions of men, and all men running all Catholic Churches and all other denominational churches have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
1 SAMUEL 2:2 (NKJV):
No one is holy like YHWH (the Lord), for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our God.
ACTS 4:12 (NLT):
“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
The Roman Catholic Church is an institution that harbors and protects pedophile priests and therefore should not be considered holy at all.
ARE GOD’S SET-APART PEOPLE ‘CATHOLIC?’
Answer: No.
The Catholic Church is a house of idolatry. They have even changed the Ten Commandments by deleting the second commandment to not make, possess, and serve idols and split the Tenth Commandment into the Ninth and Tenth Commandments.
2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18 (NKJV):
Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
And what accord has Messiah (Christ) with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty.”
God commands everyone who has discernment to come out of the Catholic Church and her daughter’s Protestant denominations and worship Him in spirit and in truth.
IS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH ‘APOSTOLIC?’
Answer: No.
There is no apostolic succession from the Apostle Simon Peter to the Catholic Church. Peter never served as bishop or pope of the Roman Catholic Church and no amount of Catholic lies, propaganda, and revisionist history will change that fact. Peter was the apostle to the circumcised Jews, not a leader of the apostles and afterward bishop or pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Peter, as an apostle to the Jews, never traveled to Rome (Galatians 2:7-8).
GALATIANS 2:7-8 (NKJV) [WITH INTERPRETATION]:
The gospel for the uncircumcised [GENTILES] had been committed to me [PAUL], as the gospel for the circumcised [JEWS] was to Peter (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised [JEWS] also worked effectively in me [PAUL] toward the Gentiles).
Yeshua (Jesus) never founded the Roman Catholic denominational church organization upon Peter no matter how Catholics twist Matthew 16:16-18 to proclaim that He did.
MATTHEW 16:13-18 (NKJV) [WITH INTERPRETATION]:
When Yeshua (Jesus) came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Messiah (Christ), the Son of the living God.”
Yeshua (Jesus) answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock [STATEMENT BY PETER: YESHUA (JESUS) IS THE MESSIAH (CHRIST) THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD] I will build My church [FOLLOWING], and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
The word ‘church’ in Scripture is commonly misunderstood. The meaning of ‘church’ throughout Scripture is either ‘assembly,’ ‘congregation,’ ‘group,’ or ‘called out ones.’
Can a false usurper church, one that is filled with corruption, man-made false doctrines, lies, and unscriptural practices really be the one true church? Of course not! There is no one true church denomination.
DID THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH GIVE US THE BIBLE?
Answer: No.
The Scriptures were not given to us by the Catholic Church, are not Catholic writings, and the Catholic Church is not a church that adheres to the Scriptures. The Catholic Church has historically forbidden people from owning Bibles.
God has given us the Scriptures!
2 TIMOTHY 3:16 (NKJV):
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.
“Do you know who taught the eagles to find their prey? That same God teaches His hungry children to find their Father in his Word. Far from having given us the Scriptures, it is you [CATHOLICS] who have hidden them from us; it is you who burn those who teach them; and if you could, you would burn the Scriptures themselves. I defy the Catholic pope and all his laws. If God spare my life for many years, I would cause the boy that drives the plough to know more of the Scriptures than you.”
