The identity of the beast of Revelation 13 has been one of the most difficult mysteries for theologians to comprehensively interpret. Due to recent end times events that have unfolded, and related Revelation mysteries unsealed, a more complete understanding of these verses can now be decoded, more so than ever before. This article will decipher [WITH INTERPRETATION] the prophesies of Revelation 13 and related prophecies concerning the beast rising out of the sea, its deadly wound, and the woman who sits on the beast.
REVELATION 13:1-4:
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast [EMPIRE] rising up out of the sea [OF NATIONS], having seven heads [THE SEVENTH REVIVAL OF THE HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE – THE EUROPEAN UNION] and ten horns [MONARCH COUNTRIES WITHIN THE EUROPEAN UNION], and on his horns ten crowns [WORN BY THE TEN KINGS / QUEENS OF THE MONARCH COUNTRIES WITHIN THE EUROPEAN UNION], and on his heads a blasphemous name [VICARIUS FILII DEI (LATIN: VICAR OF THE SON OF GOD) – THE INSCRIPTION OF THE CROWN OF THE CATHOLIC POPE, WHO SITS ON THE BEAST (THE REVIVED HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE) – REVELATION 17:3]. Now the beast [EMPIRE] which I saw was like a leopard [AGILE / SWIFT], his feet were like the feet of a bear [STRONG], and his mouth like the mouth of a lion [ROARING].
The dragon [SATAN] gave him [THE ANTICHRIST] his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads [ONE NATION OF THE EMPIRE, AMERICA (BABYLON THE GREAT), DESTROYED] as if it [THE EMPIRE] had been mortally wounded [AFTER AMERICA (BABYLON THE GREAT) WAS DESTROYED], and his [THE EMPIRE’S] deadly wound [AMERICA’S DESTRUCTION – A NEAR DEATH BLOW TO NATO AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER] was healed [THE EUROPEAN UNION WILL QUICKLY MOBILIZE AFTER THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA, WILL HEAL, AND WILL BECOME A SUPERPOWER OF ITS OWN].
And all the world marveled and followed the beast [ANTICHRIST].
So they worshiped the dragon [SATAN] who gave authority to the beast [ANTICHRIST]; and they worshiped the beast [ANTICHRIST], saying, “Who is like the beast [ANTICHRIST]? Who is able to make war with him [THE ANTICHRIST AND HIS EUROPEAN UNION EMPIRE]?”
In the Revelation 13:1-4 passages, Scripture is speaking in a dual prophecy concerning ‘the beast.’ In some verses the beast is a beast empire; in others the beast refers to the political leader known as the Antichrist.
THE DEADLY WOUND – THE FALL OF BABYLON THE GREAT (AMERICA)
Many prophesy scholars have falsely believed that the deadly wound spoken of is a deadly wound delivered to the Antichrist, and the Antichrist will be miraculously resurrected by Satan and healed of his deadly wound.
REVELATION 13:1,3:
And I saw a beast [EMPIRE] rising up out of the sea [OF NATIONS], having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name…
And I saw ONE OF HIS HEADS as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed.
The Antichrist is a human political leader who has only one head, not multiple heads. Satan does not have the power to resurrect people, only God does. The deadly wound is to one of the heads of the New World Order – NATO. The deadly wound is the destruction of America (Babylon the great – Revelation 14:8, 18). Once Russia and her allies destroy America, Europe will be vulnerable, as it will no longer be under the military umbrella protection of the United States. Europe will rapidly mobilize, reemerge and rise as a military superpower in the wake of the destruction of America. The European Union (revived Holy Roman Empire) will survive the deadly wound to its empire, the fall of Babylon the great (America), and heal.
SEVEN HEADS AND TEN HORNS WITH CROWNS
There have been seven historic risings (seven heads – Revelation 13:1, 17:3) of the Holy Roman Empire:
1. IMPERIAL RESTORATION – Justinian, 554 A.D.
2. FRANKISH KINGDOM – Charlemagne, 774 A.D.
3. GERMAN KINGDOM – Otto the Great, 962 A.D.
4. HABSBURG DYNASTY – Charles V, 1530 A.D.
5. FRENCH KINGDOM – Napoleon, 1804 A.D.
6. GERMAN ITALIAN AXIS – Garibaldi, Hitler, Mussolini, 1870 – 1945
7. THE EUROPEAN UNION – 1993 – Present [1]
In 1993 the Holy Roman Empire, through the European Union, reared its head for the seventh and final time.
There are currently twelve (12) sovereign monarch countries in Europe represented by kings (or queens) who wear crowns:
1. The Principality of Andorra
2. The Kingdom of Belgium
3. The Kingdom of Denmark
4. The Principality of Liechtenstein
5. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
6. The Principality of Monaco
7. The Kingdom of the Netherlands
8. The Kingdom of Norway
9. The Kingdom of Spain
10. The Kingdom of Sweden
11. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta
12. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
BREXIT REFERENDUM
On June 23, 2016, the United Kingdom voted to exit the European Union. The United Kingdom European Union membership referendum was a non-binding referendum that took place on June 23, 2016. The referendum resulted in an overall vote for the UK to leave the EU by 51.9%. In order to start the process of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union, which may take several years, the British government will have to act to remove itself via a treaty agreement (Article 50) with the European Union, but it has not yet done so [2][3][4][5].
Most of the monarchies in Europe are constitutional monarchies, which means that the monarch does not influence the politics of the state, nor wield any significant political power. Of the twelve countries of Europe represented in some manner by a monarch, currently seven of them are members of the European Union: Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom as of 2016.
REVELATION 17:12-13:
The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast [EUROPEAN UNION]. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast [EUROPEAN UNION].
Whether or not the United Kingdom ultimately leaves the European Union or returns to it is still yet to be determined, but when the Antichrist takes control of the last revived Holy Roman Empire – the European Union, a total of ten monarch European countries represented by kings will be a part of the European Union. These kings will formally abdicate their monarchical sovereignty, fully relinquishing their authority and power to the European Union and the Antichrist. Many Scripture prophecy watchers have argued that it will be ten political rulers who turn over their power and authority to the European Union, but political rulers do not wear crowns as kings do, and the European Union has 28 member states as part of its union as of 2016.
REVELATION 12:1-6:
Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman [NATIONAL ISRAEL] clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of TWELVE STARS [TWELVE TRIBES]. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon [SATAN] having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads [THE SEVENTH HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE – EUROPEAN UNION]. His tail [EVIL INFLUENCE] drew a third of the stars [ANGELS] of heaven and threw them to the earth [TO BE RESERVED FOR THEIR JUDGMENT 2 PETER 2:4]. And the dragon [SATAN] stood before the woman [ISRAEL] who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child [YESHUA (JESUS)] as soon as it was born [BY KING HEROD’S DECREE – MATTHEW 2:13-16]. She [ISRAEL] bore a male Child [YESHUA (JESUS)] who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child [YESHUA (JESUS)] was caught up [RAPTURED] to God and His throne. Then the woman [ISRAEL] fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days [DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION].
The flag of the European Union consists of twelve gold stars on a blue background. Officially they stand for the ideals of unity, solidarity, and harmony among the peoples of Europe. The twelve stars of the European Union’s flag represent a more sinister agenda and purpose. Satan will use the European Union to invade Israel, and he will want to imitate and replace God’s chosen people, represented by twelve tribes, with the European Union’s twelve stars.
THE LITTLE HORN – VATICAN CITY
DANIEL 7:7-8:
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast [THE SEVENTH HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE – THE EUROPEAN UNION], dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different [MORE POWERFUL] from all the beasts [HOLY ROMAN EMPIRES] that were before it, and it had ten horns [TEN MONARCH COUNTRIES]. I was considering the horns [MONARCH COUNTRIES], and there was another horn [MONARCH STATE], a little one [VATICAN CITY], coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns [MONARCH COUNTRIES] were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn [MONARCH STATE], were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words [THE FALSE PROPHET – CATHOLIC POPE].
DANIEL 7:24-25:
The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom [EUROPEAN UNION]. And another [LITTLE HORN] shall arise after them. He [VATICAN CITY] shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings. He [THE FALSE PROPHET] shall speak pompous words against the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law [GOD’S HOLY DAYS AND COMMANDMENTS]. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times, and a half time [DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION].
DANIEL 8:5,8-9,11-12:
And as I was considering, suddenly a male goat [NEW WORLD ORDER – NATO] came [PRIMARILY] from the west [AMERICA], across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground [BY AIR AND SEA]; and the goat [NEW WORLD ORDER – NATO] had a notable horn [COUNTRY – AMERICA] between his eyes…
Therefore the male goat [NEW WORLD ORDER – NATO] grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn [AMERICA] was broken [DESTROYED – REVELATION 14:8, 18], and in place of it four notable ones came up [FRANCE, GERMANY, ITALY, SPAIN] toward the four winds of heaven. And out of one of them [ITALY] came a little horn [VATICAN CITY] which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land [ISRAEL]…
He [THE ANTICHRIST] even exalted himself as high as the Prince [YESHUA (Jesus)] of the host [OF HEAVEN]; and by him [THE ANTICHRIST] the daily sacrifices [IN THE REBUILT TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM] were taken away, and the place of His [YESHUA’S (JESUS’)] sanctuary [REBUILT TEMPLE] was cast down. Because of transgression [SINS OF NATIONAL ISRAEL], an army was given over to the horn [VATICAN CITY] to oppose the daily sacrifices [IN THE REBUILT TEMPLE IN ISRAEL]; and he [THE FALSE PROPHET – FINAL CATHOLIC POPE] cast truth down to the ground. He [THE FALSE PROPHET – FINAL CATHOLIC POPE] did all this and prospered.
REVELATION 17:14-18:
“These [THE EU ANTICHRIST ARMY] will make war with the Lamb [YESHUA (JESUS)], and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot [CATHOLIC CHURCH] sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. And the ten horns [MONARCH COUNTRIES] which you saw on the beast [EUROPEAN UNION], these will hate the harlot [CATHOLIC CHURCH], make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire [SECULAR EUROPE WILL HATE THE VATICAN AND WILL TAKE PART IN ITS DESTRUCTION].
For God has put it into their [MONARCHS’] hearts [PROVERBS 21:1] to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast [EUROPEAN UNION], until the words of God are fulfilled. And the woman [CATHOLIC CHURCH] whom you saw is that great city [VATICAN CITY] which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
Vatican City is a walled enclave within the city of Rome. It is the smallest state in the world in both area and population. Its area is approximately 110 acres with a population of less than a thousand people. Vatican City is the ‘little’ horn, a tiny elective monarch state, whose sovereign is the pope.
SUMMATION
The rise of the beast empire, the European Union, is the revived Holy Roman Empire through the New World Order and NATO (Revelation 13:1-2). The deadly wound this beast empire receives is the destruction of its main supporting horn (nation): America (Babylon the great). The European Union will survive the deadly wound that threatens its empire, will mobilize its people, and will emerge as a world superpower (Revelation 13:3). Ten kings representing ten kingdom nations will be a part of the final European Union (Revelation 13:1). The little horn is a little sovereign state, Vatican City, who will sit on (align with) the beast empire as the religious arm of the European Union superpower, as it has done in all previous Holy Roman empires before (Daniel 7:8, 8:9). The European Union will be taken over by the Antichrist, a charismatic political leader who will work together with the false prophet (final Catholic pope) and will lead the European Union beast superpower into Israel and conquer it for a time, during the great tribulation (Daniel 8:9-12, 11:31, 12:11; Matthew 24:15-16; Mark 13:14; Revelation 13:4-6). The European Union beast superpower will ultimately grow to hate the Vatican controlling and influencing its affairs and will partake in its destruction (Revelation 17:16). Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) will return as King of kings to save His people in Israel when they call on Him for their salvation (Luke 13:35). The EU Antichrist army will make war with the Lamb (Yeshua / Jesus) and He will defeat them (Revelation 17:14).
