What is meant by the ‘times of the Gentiles’? This article will explain what Yeshua (Jesus) spoke of when He said that the armies of the world would surround Israel and this would be the time of the Gentiles.

EZEKIEL 30:1-3:
The word of YHWH (the Lord) came to me again, saying, “Son of man, prophesy and say, ‘Thus says YHWH (the Lord) God:
“Wail, ‘Woe to the day!’
For the day is near, even the day of YHWH (the Lord) is near;
It will be a day of clouds, the TIME OF THE GENTILES.”

LUKE 21:20-28:
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the TIMES OF THE GENTILES are fulfilled. And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

The world’s armies will surround Israel and its occupation and desolation (abandonment) will occur near the end of the times of the Gentiles. At the conclusion of the times of the Gentiles, Yeshua (Jesus) will return to Earth with His raptured and resurrected saints, who He will gather from the clouds, as the redemption of Israel (the Messiah-denying Jews of the nation of Israel) draws near.

LUKE 13:34-35:
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house [LAND] is left to you [ISRAEL] desolate [ABANDONED]; and assuredly, I say to you [ISRAEL], you [ISRAEL] shall not see Me until the time [OF THE GENTILES] comes when you [ISRAEL] say, ‘Blessed is He [YESHUA (JESUS)] who comes in the name of [YHWH] (the Lord)!’”

Yeshua (Jesus) will not return until the Messiah-denying Jews of Israel and Judea accept Him and call upon Him to save them from their annihilation.

Ever since the gospel has gone into the world, for the most part, the Judeo-Christian nations have lived freely in civilized societies with human rights and dignity, free from tyrannical government oppression. There have been world wars and communist expansions, but the Judeo-Christian countries have remained free and have been the most influential and powerful nations on Earth. On a global scale, the Judeo-Christian nations have ruled the world through banking, business, finance, governments, innovation, invention, as well as militarily, philosophically, and spiritually.

The times of the Gentiles are prophesied to come, in which the Westernized Judeo-Christian nations will not be the primary force in charge of the world. The times of the Gentiles are prophesied to occur near the end of the age, preceding the return of Yeshua (Jesus). The times of the Gentiles will be the times of the great tribulation, when the communist, Muslim, and other non-Judeo-Christian nations will be running the affairs of the world.

Many prophecy watchers believe that the United States’ federal deficit will one day cause a crash of America’s and the world’s economic systems. That is not going to happen…

REVELATION 18:11:
And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore…

When Babylon the great (America) is destroyed, it will be a time when America is still buying goods from China and all other countries from around the world. The global merchants will mourn because America will not be buying their merchandise anymore after it is destroyed.

REVELATION 14:8-10:
And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon [AMERICA] is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” THEN [AFTERWARD] a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.”

The destruction of Babylon the great (America – Revelation 14:8) will change the world in one hour. The Judeo-Christian nations that depend on America for military protection will no longer have it. The destruction of America will mark the beginning of the great tribulation (one third of the world’s population killed – Revelation 9:18).

Revelation 14:8 (the destruction of America) is followed by Revelation 14:9-10, the implementation of the mark of the beast, which comes after the destruction of America.

When Babylon the great (America) is destroyed (Revelation 14:8), this will cause a global economic crisis. All worldwide reserve currencies held in dollars will become immediately worthless. Factories around the world will close, because America will not be there to buy any merchant’s goods anymore.

Americans are never going to face receiving the mark of the beast on American soil. The destruction of Babylon the great (America) will cause a worldwide economic collapse and the world will make war without America, the world’s military policeman, there to stop them. A third of mankind will be killed during the times of the Gentiles (Revelation 9:18). The rise of the Antichrist will follow the destruction of America and the death of a third of mankind. He will impose his mark upon the economically collapsed war-torn world (Revelation 13:16-18, 14:9-11).

The times of the Gentiles begin when Babylon the great (America) is destroyed and will be fulfilled (end) when Yeshua (Jesus) returns to Earth.
