PURGATORY DEBUNKED

Purgatory, according to Catholic Church doctrine and theology, is an intermediate place or state after physical death in which those destined for heaven “undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.” This article will debunk the purgatory myth and expose the real deceitful reasons that the Catholic Church teaches purgatory.

The word ‘purgatory’ does not appear in Scripture.
Purgatory is simply a made up doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church.

1 JOHN 1:7,9:
If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) His Son CLEANSES US FROM ALL SIN.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

The theology of purgatory denies the all-sufficient and once and forever sacrificed blood of Yeshua (Jesus) to atone for us and cleanse us from all sin and all unrighteousness (Hebrews 7:27, 9:12).

MATTHEW 23:14:
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.

MARK 12:38-40; LUKE 20:45-47:
Then Yeshua (Jesus) said to them in His teaching, “Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”

Yeshua (Jesus) was addressing the Jewish religious leaders of His time, but the substance of His words applies to Catholic priests and bishops throughout millennia. Catholic clergy love going around in long robes, love being greeted at the marketplaces, and love the best seats in churches, and the best places at events and feasts. Using the Catholic doctrine of purgatory, they devour widows’ houses, incomes, and inheritances.

The Catholic Church teaches that the fate of those suffering in purgatory can be affected by the actions of the living.

What is purgatory?
Purgatory is the state of those who die in God’s friendship, assured of their eternal salvation, but who still have need of purification to enter the happiness of heaven.
How can we help the souls being purified in purgatory?
Because of the communion of saints, the faithful who are still pilgrims on earth are able to help the souls in purgatory by offering prayers in suffrage for them, especially the Eucharistic sacrifice. They also help them by almsgiving, indulgences, and works of penance.
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1992

Many deceived Catholics, widows, and other grieving family members, have forked over substantial sums of money to the Catholic Church, and continue to do so to this day, to spare their loved ones from the torment and purification of purgatory and buy their way into heaven instead.

Silly Cathodes! The blood of Yeshua (Jesus) purifies us from all sin. No one can be purified of sin in a place or state called purgatory, nor can one atone for his or her sins through penance, nor can someone else purchase another’s entrance into heaven by giving alms (cash) to the Catholic Church.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:50-52:
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED – in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED.

Scripture rejects a place or a state called purgatory to perfectly purify the souls of the righteous saints before entering heaven. The dead in Messiah (Christ) are in a state of sleep (unconsciousness), not in a state of purgatory. At the last trumpet, the dead in Messiah (Christ) will be raised and the living saints will be raptured and miraculously changed from corrupted beings into incorruptible beings, without the use of the flames of purgatory, in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye.
