Many believe and teach that the sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6:1-4 were angels who came down from heaven, married human women, and had crossbreed hybrid children with them known as the Nephilim (giants). This article will analyze the verses pertaining to the Nephilim (giants) and conclude that the sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6:1-4 were not angels that married and had children with human women.

GENESIS 6:1-4 (NKJV):
Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And YHWH (the Lord) said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” The Nephilim (giants) were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Men of giant physical stature lived both before and after the global flood (Genesis 6:4; Deuteronomy 2:10-12, 20-23). After the flood, giants appear as descendants of Canaan, one of Ham’s sons, who were living in Canaan when Moses sent agents to spy out the land (Numbers 13:1-2, 32-33).

Og, King of Bashan, was the last recorded giant east of the Jordan River (Joshua 12:4; 13:12). After Joshua’s conquest of Canaan (Joshua 11:21-22), a few giants continued living in the Philistine cities of Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod. These giants terrorized Israel from the time they entered into Canaan until late in the reign of King David. One of those giants was Goliath, who was killed by David. King David and his ‘mighty men’ encountered three other giants (2 Samuel 21:16-22; 1 Chronicles 20:4-8). Although God sometimes refers to angels as His sons (Job 38:7), the term “sons of God” in Genesis 6 is not exclusively used for angelic beings. God also refers to man as gods and sons of God.

Yeshua (Jesus) answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods’?”

WHO WERE THE SONS OF GOD OF GENESIS 6?

The term “sons of God” can refer to either angels or human beings.

MATTHEW 5:9 (NKJV):
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” 

ROMANS 8:14 (NKJV):
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

GALATIANS 3:26 (NKJV):
For you are all sons of God through faith in Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus).

ANGELS ARE SPIRIT BEINGS; HUMAN BEINGS ARE FLESH AND BLOOD

EPHESIANS 6:12 (NKJV):
FOR WE DO NOT WRESTLE AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, AGAINST SPIRITUAL HOSTS OF WICKEDNESS in the heavenly places.

HEBREWS 1:14 (NIV):
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Angels were created as spirit beings. As spirit beings, they cannot mate with humans. Humans exist in the physical realm and angels exist in the spiritual realm, which may also be in another dimension. Fallen angels, or demons, can influence and possess human beings and we wrestle with their influence over us, but we do not wrestle physically, in the flesh, with them. Holy angels serve as ministering spirits for us.

GENESIS 6:4 (NKJV):
There were Nephilim (giants) on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

The children born to the sons of God and daughters of men were not classified as hybrids, a crossbreed between angels and men, but mighty men, men of renown.

Only Yeshua (Jesus) the only begotten Son of God, who has all creative power, has ever crossed the gap between spirit and flesh, resulting in His birth as Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) – Philippians 2:7-8.

To believe that angels crossed the boundary of being spirit beings to become flesh and blood and then married and mated with human women and the resulting offspring were Nephilim (giants) is not reasonable. God would have had to have permitted it.

Kinds reproduce after their own kinds. This is a hard scientific truth that righty refutes Darwinian Evolution Theory. The spirit-kind cannot mate and impregnate mankind. Only God has crossed that boundary through Yeshua (Jesus) taking on human flesh. It can be argued that angels and humans are the same kind of being, but we are composed of different substance, as angels are spirit beings and humans are flesh and blood beings.

Scripture and science do not support the theory that angels mated and married human women. Proponents of angels mating with women resulting in hybrid Nephilim giant offspring use the rightly rejected, non-Scripture books of Enoch to support their theory.

WHERE DID THE NEPHILIM (GIANTS) COME FROM?

Being that the Nephilim giants spoken of in Genesis 6:1-4 were men, according to Genesis 6:4, and were therefore not the hybrid crossbreed offspring between angels and women, a question arises as to where they came from. The Nephilim giants were the offspring of mankind who sprang forth from the original gene pool variation that God created within man.

ACTS 17:26 (NKJV):
And He has made from ONE BLOOD every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth.

All men were created from one blood, and Adam and Eve were capable of producing all the different varieties of mankind: tall (giants), short, muscular, fat, thin, dark-skinned, light-skinned, hairy, smooth-skinned, and all of the varieties of mankind in between.

Just as there are a wide variety of dogs breeds that originated from the original dog kind, God created mankind with the same type of variation possibilities. Today, we still see diversity among human beings in various regions of the world, within the same regions, and even within the same families. [1]

Another factor that allowed for gigantism amongst human beings was the higher oxygen levels that existed in the pre-flood Earth. Scientists know from air encased within fossilized life forms that the Earth once had a 35% oxygen level, compared to the modern-day level of about 20%. A richer oxygen content allowed for the greater growth of animals, the dinosaurs, and insects on Earth. Man, known as the Nephilim (giants), also grew to much larger proportions as a result of the higher oxygen levels that existed on the pre-flood Earth. [2]

WHO WERE THE ‘SONS OF GOD’ OF GENESIS 6:2,4?

When Scripture states that the ‘sons of God’ saw the daughters of men, and they took wives for themselves, it is a figurative reference to righteous men taking wives who were the ‘daughters of men,’ or daughters of demonically influenced sinful men. Sons of God cannot be a reference to demons or fallen angels, for then they would no longer be referred to by Scripture as ‘sons of God,’ but as demons or fallen angels. If the sons of God in Genesis 6 was a reference to angels, Scripture would plainly say so. The people, before the great flood, had rejected God and were under heavy demonic influence.

All of mankind, including the Nephilim (giants), were wicked in the sight of God and man’s thoughts were evil continually. The ‘sons of God’ of Genesis 6:2,4 represent righteous men who took wives of ‘daughters of demonically influenced, pagan, sinful men.’

Sons of God, righteous men, took wives of the pagan, sinful culture of the days of Noah. The sons of God had children with the daughters of the pagan, sinful culture and the children of these unions were wicked in their thoughts continually. In a similar scenario as recorded in Ezra, God once commanded the people of Israel to not marry and mate with pagan foreigners. Some of the men of Israel disobeyed God, took pagan wives, and bore children to them. This disobedience to God’s command angered God, which resulted in national repentance and a large-scale mass divorce of the pagan wives (Ezra 9-10).

EZRA 9:1-2,10-12 (NKJV):
The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands,  with respect to the abominations of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. For they have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, so that the holy seed is mixed with the peoples of those lands. …
And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken Your commandments, which You commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, ‘The land which you are entering to possess is an unclean land, with  the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, which their abominations which have filled it from one end to another with their impurity. Now therefore, do not give your daughters as wives for their sons, nor take their daughters to your sons; and never seek their peace or prosperity, that you may be strong and eat the good of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your children forever.’

EZRA 10:2-3,44 (NKJV):
And Shechaniah the sonof Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, spoke up and said to Ezra, “We have trespassed against our God, and have taken pagan wives from the peoples of the land; yet now there is hope in Israel in spite of this. Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all these wives and those who have been born to them, according to the advice of my master and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.”
… All these [ISRAELI MEN v. 18-43] had taken pagan wives, and some of them had wives by whom they had children. 

GOD DESTROYED MAN FROM THE EARTH, NOT HYBRID ANGEL-MEN

GENESIS 6:5-8 (NKJV):
Then YHWH (the Lord) saw that the WICKEDNESS OF MAN was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And YHWH (the Lord) was sorry that He had made MAN on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So YHWH (the Lord) said, “I will destroy MAN whom I have created from the face of the earth, both MAN and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found grace in the eyes of YHWH (the Lord).

Due to man’s rejection of God’s ways and the demonic influence upon mankind, men’s thoughts and deeds were evil continually. No one but righteous-living Noah found grace in God’s eyes. YHWH (the Lord) God then decided to flood the Earth and rid it of evil, save Noah, his family, and the animals on the ark.

KING SOLOMON, A SON OF GOD, MARRIED MANY DAUGHTERS OF MEN

King Solomon was considered the wisest king to ever rule Israel and was also a scientist and a prolific poetic writer credited with writing much of the book of Proverbs.

1 KINGS 11:1-6 (NKJV):
King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites — from the nations of whom YHWH (the Lord) had said to the children of Israel, “You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines;
and his wives turned away his heart. For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to YHWH (the Lord) his God, as was the heart of his father David. For Solomon went after Ashteroth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. Solomon did evil in the sight of YHWH (the Lord), and did not fully follow YHWH (the Lord), as did his father David.

Scripture records that Solomon sinned by marrying pagan women (daughters of men), who then led him to worship foreign gods.

NEHEMIAH 13:23-26 (NKJV):
In those days I also saw Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab. And half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod, and could not speak the language of Judah, but spoke according to the language of one or the other people. So I contended with them and cursed them, struck some of them and pulled out their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters as wives to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons or yourselves. Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? Yet among many nations there was no king like him, who was beloved of his God; and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless pagan women caused even him to sin.

King Solomon, as a son of God, married daughters of pagan men, just as the Israelite men of Ezra 10:18-44 married foreign pagan women, and just as the sons of God in Genesis 6:1-4 married pagan daughters of men.

2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-16 (NKJV):
Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Messiah (Christ) with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God.

Believers are commanded to not be unequally yoked or be married to atheist, idolatrous, pagan, sinful, wicked unbelievers.

LUKE 17:26-30 (NKJV):
“And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

As mankind enters the last days of the age, many people’s thoughts and deeds are continually evil, just as they were in the days of Noah and Lot. Surely there are people who are possessed by demons today, or who are under heavy demonic influence, and there are some bearing children and raising them in evil ways.

God once destroyed the whole world and all the wicked people in it, save the eight people on Noah’s ark (1 Peter 3:20). Wicked mankind, in the last hour, will be on the brink of self-annihilation, as it was in the days of Noah, just before Yeshua (Jesus) returns (Matthew 24:22).

DID ANGELS KNOW WOMEN, AS MEN OF SODOM KNEW STRANGE FLESH?

JUDE 1:6-7 (NKJV):
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

People with a preconceived belief that angels mated with women in Genesis 6:1-2 may be inclined read their belief onto the Jude 1:6-7 verses, as supporting Scripture evidence that shows angels did not keep their heavenly abode and came to Earth to marry and mate with human women. They misinterpret these verses in the following manner…

JUDE 1:6-7 (NKJV) [INCORRECT UNDERSTANDING]:
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain [IN HEAVEN], but left their own abode [AND CAME DOWN TO EARTH TO MARRY AND MATE WITH DAUGHTERS OF MEN – GENESIS 6:1-2]. He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these [ANGELS], having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

The following is how Jude 1:6-7 should be understood.

JUDE 1:6-7 (NKJV) [WITH INTERPRETATION]:
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain [IN HEAVEN], but left their own abode [REBELLED AND CAME DOWN TO EARTH TO INFLUENCE AND POSSESS HUMAN BEINGS – LUKE 11:24-26], He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these [ANGELS], having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

The Jude 1:6-7 verses do not state that angels gave themselves over to sexual immorality, but that they merely left their heavenly abode to dwell elsewhere. Although angels, as spirit beings cannot mate with human beings, spirit beings can possess human beings.

The angels leaving their heavenly abode, coming to Earth, and influencing and possessing humans is analogous to the men of Sodom and Gomorrah giving themselves over to sexual immorality, exchanging the proper sexual use of women with strange flesh vile passion sexual desires for one another through homosexuality.

ROMANS 1:26-27 (NKJV):
God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Angels or demons cannot conceive children with human beings. Only Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ), among the heavenly host, has crossed the boundary between spirit and flesh to take on human flesh through Miriam (Mary) conceiving a Child through the Holy Spirit.

LUKE 1:30-37 (NKJV) [CONDENSED]:
Then the angel Gabriel said to Miriam (Mary), “Do not be afraid, Miriam (Mary), for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Yeshua (Jesus). …

Then Miriam (Mary) said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 

And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; …

For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Miriam (Mary) was chosen by God to give birth to Yeshua (Jesus). Miriam (Mary), a righteous woman, knew the Genesis 6 Scripture account and did not believe that the sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6:1-4 were angels, for she believed it was impossible that a woman could conceive a child without carnally knowing a man. The angel Gabriel convinced her that she would conceive a Child without a man, through the Holy Spirit, for with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26; Mark 10:27).

ANGELS / DEMONS / UNCLEAN SPIRITS CAN DWELL IN AND POSSESS MAN; THEY CANNOT MARRY AND MATE WITH WOMEN / DAUGHTERS OF MEN

LUKE 11:24-26 (NKJV) [CONDENSED]:
“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and THEY ENTER AND DWELL THERE; and the last state of THAT MAN is worse than the first.”

Spiritually compromised persons, through rejection of God, narcotic drug use, and willful sin can be possessed by demons. Demons actively try to influence all people to do evil.

JAMES 4:7 (NKJV):
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.When we submit to God through righteously living according to His commandments, practicing righteousness, the demons will flee from us.

WHAT ABOUT THE TWO ANGELIC MESSENGERS THAT MET WITH LOT?

GENESIS 19:1-2 (NKJV):
Now the TWO ANGELS came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.”

Hebraic translations use the word messengers, not angels in Genesis 19:1-2.

GENESIS 19:1-2 (HSV):
Now the TWO MESSENGERS came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. And when Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground, and he said, “Look, please my masters, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet, and rise early and go on your way.”

Assuming that it was angelic messengers who came down from heaven to visit Sodom and meet with Lot, having taken on the appearance of human beings, this does not mean that fallen angels (demons) could have likewise come down from heaven and mated with women in Genesis 6:1-4. Fallen angels could not have harnessed the power of the Holy Spirit to put on the appearance of human beings, and then marry and mate with women, without the approval and consent of Almighty God.

HEBREWS 13:1-2 (NKJV):
Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

We are commanded to love our neighbors and entertain strangers, who may be angels posing as human beings, visiting us on a mission from God. We are commanded to not fear demons, nor should women fear being sexually assaulted by demons in the dark of night. Demons influence mankind to do evil and can possess spiritually vulnerable human beings. Demons cannot physically assault us. In order for demons to do anything to us, they must first get the consent of God, which is exactly what happened in the story of Job. Satan wagered against God over the righteousness of Job and was granted permission to curse Job’s possessions, but not lay a hand on his person to physically harm Job.

JOB 1:6-12 (NKJV):
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before YHWH (the Lord), and Satan also came among them.
And YHWH (the Lord) said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So Satan answered YHWH (the Lord) and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and walking back and forth on it.”
Then YHWH (the Lord) said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
So Satan answered YHWH (the Lord) and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his
hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
And YHWH (the Lord) said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his
person.”
So Satan went out from the presence of YHWH (the Lord).

YESHUA (JESUS) ACKNOWLEDGED THAT ALL OF HIS SUPERNATURAL DIVINE POWER COMES FROM HIS FATHER, ALMIGHTY ELOHIM (GOD)

MATTHEW 6:13 (NKJV):
“For Yours is the kingdom AND THE POWER and the glory forever.”

JOHN 5:19,30 (NKJV):
“Most assuredly, I say to you, THE SON CAN DO NOTHING OF HIMSELF, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” …
“I CAN OF MYSELF DO NOTHING.”

JOHN 8:28 (NKJV):
Then Yeshua (Jesus) said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, AND THAT I DO NOTHING OF MYSELF; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.”

In order to believe that angels married women and brought forth children with them, known as the Nephilim giants, you would have to believe that angels had supernatural divine power of themselves, something that even Yeshua (Jesus) does not possess.

DEMONS DO NOT HAVE POWER OVER BELIEVERS, BELIEVERS HAVE POWER OVER DEMONS

Righteous, God-fearing believers have always had power over demons. Demons, through popular horror movies and false doctrines, such as the belief that angels mated with human women and brought forth Nephilim giants, would have us believe that they have power over us.

MARK 16:17-18 (NKJV) [WITH INTERPRETATION]:
“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up [DEMONIC] serpents; and if they drink anything deadly [POISONOUS DOCTRINES], 
it will by no means hurt them;”        

LUKE 10:19-20 (NKJV) [WITH INTERPRETATION]:
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on [DEMONIC] serpents and [SPIRITUAL] scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy [SATAN], and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that
THE SPIRITS ARE SUBJECT TO YOU … .”

EPHESIANS 6:12 (NKJV):
FOR WE DO NOT WRESTLE AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, AGAINST SPIRITUAL HOSTS OF WICKEDNESS in the heavenly places.

1 CORINTHIANS 6:3 (NKJV):
Do you not know that we shall judge angels?

Those who believe and preach that the Nephilim giants of Genesis 6:1-4 were the offspring result of fallen angels (sons of God) mating with women (daughters of men) are overlooking many Scripture truths. Yeshua (Jesus) can do no supernatural works of Himself (John 5:20), but can only do such works through the power of the Father, Almighty God. We have been given authority and power over demons (Mark 16:17-18; Luke 10:19-20). The spirits are subject to man. We do not battle against flesh and blood demons, but against spiritual hosts of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Man will one day judge angels (1 Corinthians 6:12).

ANGELS CAN APPEAR AS MEN WHEN SENT ON A MISSION FROM GOD

HEBREWS 13:2 (NKJV):
Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

REBELLIOUS ANGELS / DEMONS CAN ONLY APPEAR AS SPIRITS

Apparitions of Mary, throughout history, have been demons posing as angels of light, as Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14).

MATTHEW 10:28 (NKJV):
“Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Angels mating with women resulting in Nephilim giants is a fear-mongering doctrine of demons. God commands us to fear Him. Satan wants mankind to fear demons.

GENESIS 9:2 (NKJV):
The fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand.

MATTHEW 10:29-31 (NKJV):
“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.”

When mankind rebelled and fell into sin, resulting in a change in character to both man and animals, God still protected man by placing a fear instinct of man in all animals. To believe that God would leave women vulnerable to sexual assault and marriage from demons is not consistent with the character of God. Women are worth far more than sparrows. Almighty God would never have allowed demons to prey on women, take them captive, rape them, and marry them.

Almighty God would have had to have been asleep at the controls while angels rebelled against Him and decided to come down to Earth, utilize His Holy Spirit power to take on human flesh, impose themselves on women, marry them, and have children with them. Then, as the story goes, while God allowed this to continue unabated, one day He decided that He would destroy all flesh, because He was sorry that He created man and was also sorry that He allowed rebellious angels to mate with women, which resulted in evil Nephilim (giant) offspring proliferating on the Earth.

WILL THERE BE A RETURN OF THE NEPHILIM (GIANTS)?

There are a lot of hucksters peddling books and making films that are filled with sensationalized, fear-inducing, fascinating tales, not only of angels mating with women resulting in Nephilim giants that existed in times past, but are also promoting the idea that demons are returning to Earth to mate with women and create Nephilim giants in the end times.

Satan and the demons will indeed be coming to earth in the end times, but they will not be taking women for wives, mating with them, and having Nephilim (giant) babies with them.

1 JOHN 2:18 (NKJV):
As you have heard that the Antimessiah (Antichrist) is coming, even now many antimessiahs (antichrists) have
come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

REVELATION 12:12 (NKJV):
“Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

Satan and the demons will be influencing the antimessiahs (antichrists) of the world to carry out great evils during the great tribulation and 7-year reign of the Antimessiah (Antichrist).

1 PETER 5:8 (NKJV):
Your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Satan and the demons, the adversaries of God, want to destroy us, not mate with women and have children with them.

GIGANTISM AND DWARFISM

In the pre-flood Earth, man lived as long as 969-years (as recorded in Genesis 5:27). In the post-flood Earth, God reduced man’s lifespan to 120-years (as recorded in Genesis 6:3). 120-years is the maximum number of years that a post-flood, modern man can live.

The fossil records indicate that oxygen levels on the Earth were higher in the past.
An oxygen rich atmosphere fueled human gigantism in the pre-flood Earth, as well as gigantism in other creatures. Giant seagull-sized dragonflies, as well as other super-sized creatures, grew larger than their modern-day counterparts due to a higher percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere of the pre-flood Earth.

Earth’s current atmospheric oxygen content, at just over 20%, was once around 35% in the pre-flood Earth. Oxygen-rich environments caused man and animals to grow larger. NG-The post-flood Earth’s 20% oxygen level was not conducive for Nephilim giants to grow to the size and stature that they had reached in Earth’s pre-flood, oxygen-rich past. Additionally, in the pre-flood Earth, human lifespans were over 900-years. The higher oxygen content, combined with a longer lifespan for man, is the scientific reason for the Nephilim giants of the past. Nephilim giants are not the offspring of angels and women.

WHAT ABOUT DWARFISM IN MIDGETS?

Did cherubim mate with women and resulting in dwarf and midget offspring? Of course not! Gigantism and dwarfism are scientifically explained as genetic variations or disorders, not a result of human DNA that has been mixed with angel DNA.

DO NEPHILIM GIANTS EXIST TODAY?

While most would say that Nephilim giants do not exist today, this is not the case at all.
If the Earth were in its pre-flood oxygen-rich condition, and human lifespans were over 900-years as they were in the past, then many people who are very tall and large in this age would perhaps grow to be twice or three times as big and tall if living on the Earth before the great flood of Noah.

WHY DID GOD FLOOD THE EARTH?

God did not flood the Earth to rid the world of Nephilim (giants). Nephilim giants reemerged after the flood of Noah. God judged the Earth to rid the world of the wickedness of MAN. To believe that God flooded the earth to rid the Earth of the Nephilim (giants) is imposing a belief onto Scripture that isn’t supported in place of the real reason God flooded the Earth: because the wickedness of man was great.

GENESIS 6:5-6 (NKJV):
Then YHWH (the Lord) saw that the WICKEDNESS OF MAN was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And YHWH (the Lord) was sorry that He had made MAN on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So YHWH (the Lord) said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

LAWLESSNESS WILL ABOUND

MATTHEW 24:12-13,37 (NKJV):
“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. …
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”

In these end times, lawlessness and sin abound and the love of many has grown cold as people have forsaken God and have rejected His commandments. To those who seek to be righteous, but are held captive by sin, being tormented and possessed by demons today: repent, submit to God, resist the demons, and they will flee from you (Ephesians 6:10-16; 2 Timothy 2:22-26; James 4:7-8; 1 Peter 5:8-9).

He (or she) who endures in righteousness to the end will be saved, as Noah and his family were saved from the flood (Matthew 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13).

ISAIAH 65:20 (NKJV):
“No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days; for the child shall die one hundred years old, but the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.”

When Yeshua (Jesus) returns and establishes His Millennial Kingdom on Earth, He will restore man’s lifespan to what it was before the flood of Noah. A child shall die, that is, will cease being a child at one hundred years old and then enter adulthood. When man’s lifespan is increased in the Millennial Kingdom, as it was before the flood, we may see a return of Nephilim giants, mighty men, men of renown, once again on the Earth.
