ACTS 2:21; ROMANS 10:13 (NKJV)
:
Whoever calls on the name of YHWH (the Lord) shall be saved.

ZEPHANIAH 3:9 (NKJV):
“For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of YHWH (the Lord), to serve Him with one accord.”

Messianic and Christian believers often engage in debate over the true name of YHWH, being Yeshua, Yahuah, Yahweh, Yahshua, Yahusha, Yahushua, Jesus, Iesous, and others.

Many Messianic and Christian believers needlessly get themselves hung up on the correct pronunciation of His name: YHWH. Some get so hung up and divisive over this topic that they actually proclaim this to be a salvation issue, and only those who properly pronounce His name correctly will be saved.

Scripture warns believers not to be divisive and to avoid divisive persons.

ROMANS 16:17 (NKJV):
Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

No one knows for sure the true pronunciation of His name and can only ‘best guess’ by adding vowels, of which His name, as the tetragrammaton, four-letter Hebrew name of God, transliterated as yodh, he, waw or vav, he, (YHWH, or YHVW, or JHVH) does not contain.1

Hebraic scholars differ in their opinions regarding the pronunciation and vowel insertion of His name. How, then, if Hebrew scholars cannot agree on the pronunciation of His name, can Messianic English-speaking persons, some of whom claim to have studied Hebrew, say with all certainty that they know for sure how His name is pronounced?

The notion that a mispronunciation of His name can land a believer in hell is a terribly misguided belief. We do not serve a God who will cast the righteous, those who obey His commandments, to hell because they do not know the true pronunciation of His name. There are many reasons unrighteous persons will not inherit the kingdom of God, but mispronunciation of His name is not listed as one of them.

1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-10 (NKJV):
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the reign of Elohim (kingdom of God)? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous (greedy of gain), nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the reign of Elohim (kingdom of God).

GALATIANS 5:19-21 (NKJV):
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, drug sorcery, hatred, quarrels, jealousies, fits of rage, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the reign of Elohim (kingdom of God).

EPHESIANS 5:5 (NKJV):
For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah (Christ) and God.

REVELATION 21:7-8 (NKJV):
He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. The cowardly, untrustworthy, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, drug sorcerers, idolators, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Some caution against using the word ‘Lord’ as His name, but fail to understand that Lord is stated as a title, not a name. The word ‘Lord’ is pagan in origin and is derived from the false god Baal, so it is proper to point these things out, but no one is going to hell for calling YHWH ‘My Lord.’

HOSEA 2:16 (NKJV):
“And it shall be, in that day,” says YHWH (the Lord), “That you will call Me ‘My Husband,’ and no longer call Me ‘My Master,’”

The NKJV and other similar texts do not quite reveal the significance of Hosea 2:16 when read from the proper Hebrew to English translation.

HOSEA 2:16 (ESV):
“And in that day,” declares YHWH (the LORD), “you will call Me ‘My Husband,’ and will no longer call Me ‘My Baal.’”

Ba’al or Baal is a name or title meaning Lord and is of pagan origin. ‘Baal’ is what the word ‘Lord’ is derived from. No one calls YHWH ‘My Ba’al,’ so by using a little reasoning, we can surmise that when YHWH returns, no one will call Him ‘My Lord.’ Ba’al = Lord.

‘Jesus’ is not a Hebrew name and was surely not the name the Son of God went by. ‘Jesus’ is a Hellenized (Greek-transliteration) of His name. Some believe that ‘sus’ is derived from the Greek God ‘Zeus,’ and ‘Je-sus’ equates to the phrase, “Hail Zeus,” while others dispute that claim. What cannot be disputed is that ‘Jesus’ is a common Latin / Spanish name that is pronounced, “Hey Zeus.”

Many believers only knew or have known the Son of God’s name as Jesus Christ, and have gone to their graves not knowing the Hebrew transliterated ‘YHWH’ or His proper Hebraic name. Prayers of believers have been answered when they have prayed “in the name of Jesus,” so God knows the hearts of believers and to whom they are praying.

YHWH (the Lord) is not going to send millions of believers to hell for calling the Son of God ‘Jesus’ or ‘Lord.’ YHWH (the Lord) will correct the masses that call Him ‘Jesus’ and ‘Lord’ upon His return as prophesied in Hosea 2:16.
