Halloween, a secular holiday also known as All Hallows’ Eve, is observed annually on October 31st and is noted for its pagan and Christian origins and traditions. Halloween is often used to honor Satan, demons, ghouls, monsters, the dead, vampires, and witchcraft.
JOB 28:28 (NKJV):
“Behold, the fear of YHWH (the Lord), that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.”
Satan is not God, but he wants humanity to fear him and the demons instead of God. Satan does not want mankind to know that Yeshua (Jesus) has given us authority over evil spirits and that the demons themselves cannot harm us.
As believers, is participating in the pagan holiday known as Halloween just harmless fun or is it a forbidden practice?
1 CORINTHIANS 10:20-22 (NKJV):
The things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy?
When people decorate their homes and wear costumes honoring death and darkness and pay for demonically-inspired entertainment, they are literally worshiping demons, sacrificing to demons, glorifying them, honoring them, and inviting them into their life.
EPHESIANS 6:12 (NKJV):
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Don’t entertain, honor, and play with demons.
